Every child has the right to learn performance art. Whether it be dance, vocal or theater. The need for freedom of expression lives deeply within each of us. Giving children a place to be safe, expressive and joyous is the greatest gift a teacher can give.  I believe I am an effective teacher because I EARN respect, I do not expect it simply because I am the teacher. I want to always be the safe place, where children I work with can come to me at anytime without fear or anxiety. Allowing them to make and learn from mistakes while discovering along the way who they are, options for creativity are limitless, and how to set boundaries for themselves.
